Important Information for Coffee Machine Owners & Users

If you own or operate a coffee machine, it is a legal requirement that it complies with the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) 2000.

The PSSR exists to prevent serious injury caused by the release of stored energy (pressure) in the event of a system or component failure.

As a user or owner, you have a legal duty to ensure your coffee machine is:

Operated safely
Properly maintained
Inspected at set intervals under a Written Scheme of Examination (WSE) — starting before first use
